Punch rubber airbag, also commonly known as pneumatic punch buffer or polyurethane airbag, is a key auxiliary component installed on a mechanical press (punch press). It is mainly used to replace traditional metal springs or hydraulic buffers to provide cushioning, unloading and pressing functions for the mold.

Structure-Punch Air Spring
Material: Typically made of high-strength, wear-resistant, and oil-resistant polyurethane rubber (PU), with a high-strength cord ply embedded inside to withstand high pressures.

Working Principle
Inflation: Compressed air at a certain pressure (typically 0.5 MPa - 0.9 MPa) is introduced from an air source (air compressor), causing the airbag to expand and reach its initial pressure and height.
Working Stroke: When the punch press slide drives the upper die downward, the die's hold-down plate or stripper plate compresses the airbag. As the airbag is compressed, the internal pressure increases, generating a constant, flexible upward rebound force.
Return reset: When the slider returns, the elastic energy stored in the airbag is released, pushing it back to its original shape, thereby reliably pushing the material or waste out of the mold (unloading) or bouncing the pressed workpiece.
